The Warrior. Inspired by a visit to the Royal Naval Dockyards at Portsmouth, Paul wrote this tune in celebration of the warship "HMS Warrior". When completed in 1861, Warrior was the largest, fastest and most heavily armed warship in the world; the ultimate deterrant of her day. During her 15 years of active service Warrior never had to fire a shot in anger.
